Beach clubs in Spain

Spain has the deepest beach club scene in Europe, spread across the Mediterranean coast, the Balearic and Canary Islands, and the Atlantic south. The style shifts a lot by region, so where you go matters more than in most countries.

Ibiza is the headline act, home to institutions like Nassau and Blue Marlin where a daybed and a bottle run into serious money. Formentera next door is calmer and just as pretty, a short ferry away.

On the mainland, Marbella anchors the Costa del Sol, with the Golden Mile clubs setting the tone for glamour and price. Tarifa at the southern tip trades that for wind, surf, and a younger crowd.

Barcelona keeps its clubs close to the city beaches, easy to reach without a car. Valencia runs a more relaxed, better-value version of the same.

Out in the islands, Mallorca and Menorca cover everything from resort day clubs to quiet coves.

Season runs May to October on the mainland and islands, with July and August the busiest and priciest. The Canaries stay warm year round.
