Beach clubs in Mojácar run along a flat beachfront promenade on Almería's southeastern coast. There are two: Bocaina for daytime dining and sun-loungers, and Mandala for DJs and dancing until sunrise.
The location is Mojácar Playa, the coastal strip below the old hilltop pueblo. Prices here are noticeably lower than on the Costa del Sol, and the Almería coast stays quieter through most of the season. Both clubs open around Easter and run through to October.
Both venues sit on the same stretch of coast, close enough to walk between. Bocaina is on the Paseo del Mediterráneo in the centre of the playa. Mandala is at the southern end, at Playa del Cantal, about 1km further along. If you're coming from Almería, it's about an hour's drive northeast.
The Andalucía tourism portal covers the area's beaches and the nearby Cabo de Gata natural park, worth a day trip if you're staying in the area.

What is Mojácar nightlife like?
Mojácar's nightlife is essentially Mandala. The club at Playa del Cantal runs DJs from the afternoon into the early hours, with themed parties, laser shows, and multiple zones across several levels. It's one of the busiest nightclubs on the Almería coast during summer.
Bocaina also does evening service, but it's a restaurant and beach club rather than a nightclub. If you want a late night out in Mojácar Playa, Mandala is the only serious option.
What is the best beach club in Mojácar?
For a daytime beach club with food and sunbeds, Bocaina is the clear pick. It's consistently well-reviewed for location and food, and works for families, couples, and groups throughout the day.
If nightlife is the point, Mandala is what Mojácar is known for. It's a completely different experience: DJs, dancing, themed nights, and a crowd that arrives well after dark.
Bocaina Beach Club

Bocaina Beach Club is the main daytime venue on Mojácar Playa, sitting on the Paseo del Mediterráneo with direct beach access. It's a full-day operation: sunbeds and sea views from morning, through to evening dining along the promenade.
The kitchen runs from breakfast through dinner, with Mediterranean plates, fresh fish, and salads covering most of the menu. Weekend brunch gets busy, and cocktails are consistently highlighted. Book ahead for lunch on Saturdays in July and August.
Pricing is mid-range for Andalusia, with free parking and full wheelchair accessibility. There's a kids' menu and high chairs, making it one of the better family options on this coast. It opens daily from 10am and stays open late.
One of the best-reviewed beach clubs on Almería's coast, with strong marks for food and location. A minority of reviews flag inconsistency in the kitchen, but the general picture is positive.

Mandala Beach Club

Mandala Beach Club is a different kind of venue. It sits at Playa del Cantal, about 1km south of Bocaina, and operates as a restaurant by day and one of Andalusia's best-known nightclubs after dark. DJs play from mid-afternoon through to sunrise.
The restaurant serves an Asian-Mediterranean menu: tuna carpaccio, grilled fish, and sushi alongside Spanish classics. The pool area works for afternoon drinks before the nightclub crowd arrives. Cocktails are priced at the premium end.
After dark, the venue transforms. Multiple music zones across several levels, a waterfall dividing indoor and outdoor space, VIP rooms, laser shows, and themed parties through peak season. Book for weekend nights if you're going in July or August.
Reviews are split. Fans point to the energy and the production. Critics flag steep drink prices and a strict door policy, and it comes up in plenty of one-star reviews. It's not a quiet beach day spot.

How much do beach clubs in Mojácar cost?
Bocaina is mid-range: expect to pay around €15-25 for a main course and €10-15 for cocktails. Mandala is more expensive, with cocktails pushing €15-20 and VIP access on top. Both are noticeably cheaper than comparable venues on the Costa del Sol or in Ibiza.
Do you need to book beach clubs in Mojácar in advance?
Bocaina recommends reservations for lunch and dinner, particularly on weekends in July and August. Mandala's VIP areas fill up fast in peak season too. Outside July and August, walk-ins are usually fine at Bocaina, though weekend evenings at Mandala can still get busy.
Are Mojácar beach clubs open all year?
Both clubs run seasonally. Bocaina opens around Easter and closes in October, sometimes extending into November. Mandala follows a similar schedule. Check directly with each venue before you visit, as exact dates shift year to year and aren't always updated online in advance.
Is Mojácar good for a beach club holiday?
Mojácar Playa has a compact, walkable beachfront with two distinct options: a well-regarded daytime club and a proper nightclub. It's quieter and cheaper than Marbella or Malaga, which suits people who want a relaxed beach day without the crowds. Mandala adds a proper evening option if you want it.
Are Mojácar beach clubs family-friendly?
Bocaina is the family option, with a kids' menu, high chairs, a dedicated play area, and full wheelchair accessibility. It opens from 10am, making midday and early afternoon visits easy for families. Mandala is adult-orientated and better suited to evenings without children.
