Beach clubs and coastline in Marbella, Spain

Some links on this page are affiliate links. We may earn a small commission if you book through them, at no extra cost to you.

Beach clubs in Marbella spread across 27 kilometres of Costa del Sol coastline, from Guadalmina in the west to Cabopino in the east. There are 35 of them, ranging from casual chiringuitos serving espetos on the sand to full pool clubs where a single daybed and bottle service will run several hundred euros.

Marbella is the most luxury-forward beach club destination on the Spanish coast. The Golden Mile and Puerto Banús attract a well-heeled international crowd, and the top venues here compete with Ibiza for atmosphere and spend. Most clubs open from April or May and close in October, though hotel-attached spots like Amare and Gran Marbella run year-round.

Clubs fall into three zones. The Golden Mile, between old town and Puerto Banús, has the highest density of designer pool clubs. East Marbella, around Elviria and Las Chapas, is quieter with wider beaches and some of the coast's best-reviewed spots, while Mijas Costa nearby offers a calmer alternative.

The Andalusia tourism board's Marbella page has useful trip planning information if you're making a broader visit to the Costa del Sol.

How much do beach clubs in Marbella cost?

Most clubs in Marbella sit at the mid-range level. Expect to pay €50 to €100 per person for a sunbed, lunch, and a couple of drinks. That covers most venues along the Paseo Maritimo and east Marbella.

The Golden Mile and Puerto Banús push costs higher. At La Cabane and Chambao, daybeds start at €100 and minimum spends at Nikki Beach and Ocean Club push real costs well beyond the posted entry price. Spots like Bono Beach and The Dune offer comparable quality at significantly lower prices.

What is the best beach club in Marbella?

For food, Alabardero is the most-reviewed club on the coast and the go-to for paella. Oyana is the food-first pick further east. For parties, Ocean Club and Nikki Beach are the established names. For a balance of quality and value, LUUMA and NOSSO Summer Club are consistently among the best-reviewed on the coast.

For something chilled without the Golden Mile price tag, The Dune east of the old town is one of the most highly rated clubs in Marbella and worth a visit.

Frequently asked questions about Marbella beach clubs

Do you need to book beach clubs in Marbella in advance?

For Nikki Beach, Ocean Club, La Cabane, and Playa Padre, booking ahead is essential between June and September. Weekends fill fastest. Quieter spots east of the centre, like Oyana or Moosa Bay, are easier to walk into, and most clubs take reservations through their website or by phone.

Are Marbella beach clubs open all year?

Most clubs open from April or May and close in October, though hotel-based spots like Gran Marbella Resort and Amare run year-round. July and August are the busiest months. Shoulder season, particularly May, June, and September, gives you good weather with smaller crowds and easier reservations across the board.

Which Marbella beach clubs have pools?

Ocean Club, Nikki Beach, La Cabane, Chambao, AMMO, Sublim, Nido, Opium, Gran Marbella Resort, Gala, and Barbillon all have pools. Pool clubs typically have minimum spends on daybeds that push real costs higher than pure beachfront venues. Getting there before noon is the best way to secure a spot in peak season.

Which area of Marbella has the best beach clubs?

The Golden Mile, between old town and Puerto Banús, has the densest concentration of luxury pool clubs, including La Cabane, El Chiringuito Puente Romano, and Chambao. East Marbella around Elviria and Las Chapas is more relaxed, with top-rated spots like LUUMA, NOSSO, and Oyana. Puerto Banús is best for the party scene, and the Spain beach club directory covers the wider Costa del Sol picture.
