Beach clubs in Alcanar begin and end with one: La Salina, on the Alfacs Bay shoreline at Les Cases d'Alcanar. Alcanar sits at the bottom of Catalonia, where the Terres de l'Ebre region meets the sea. The culture here runs toward fresh seafood and citrus farming, not beach parties.

La Salina is on the grounds of Camping Alfacs but open to non-guests too. The menu focuses on seafood raciones and tapas, with prices around €20 to €30 per person. Hours are 9am to 11pm daily.

Les Cases d'Alcanar is a small fishing settlement about 5km from the main town. If you want more options, Tarragona beach clubs are about an hour north, and La Ràpita beach clubs are 10 minutes south along the coast.

The wider area is worth a day or two. The Terres de l'Ebre tourism board covers beaches, cycling routes, Ebro Delta birdwatching, and local events across the region.

Is La Salina Beach Club open to non-campers?

Yes. La Salina sits within Camping Alfacs but operates as an independent restaurant. You don't need to be a campsite guest. Walk-ins are welcome, and there's no check at the door.

Reservations are worth making in July and August, when the campsite fills up and terrace tables go quickly. Outside summer, walk-ins are fine.

How much does La Salina Beach Club cost?

Meals run €20 to €30 per person for a full spread of raciones. There's no entry fee and no minimum spend. Sunbeds and the kids' area don't cost extra.

Parking is free on site. That's worth knowing if you're driving from Tarragona or across from the Ebro Delta.

La Salina Beach Club

Seafood terrace with bay views at La Salina Beach Club, Alfacs Bay, Les Cases d'Alcanar

La Salina Beach Club sits on Avenida del Mar within Camping Alfacs, right on the edge of Alfacs Bay. You don't need to be staying at the campsite to eat here. The terrace faces the water and the crowd is a casual mix of day visitors, campers, and families.

Seafood raciones are what most people come for. Grilled cuttlefish, razor clams, fish croquettes, and honey cod fritters are the standout dishes. The bar covers cocktails, wine, and coffee, and it opens early enough that a morning coffee on the bay is a reasonable plan.

It's open daily 9am to 11pm, with a kids' area, wheelchair access, and free parking. Book ahead in peak summer, when the campsite fills and tables get competitive. Reviews are polarised: the food gets consistent praise, service gets mixed.

Frequently asked questions about Alcanar beach clubs

Do you need to book La Salina Beach Club in advance?

Reservations are recommended in July and August, when Camping Alfacs is at capacity and the terrace fills fast. Outside peak summer, walk-ins are generally fine.

Call ahead on +34 644 16 57 94. Lunchtime slots are easier to get than evening tables in August.

Is La Salina Beach Club family-friendly?

Yes. There's a dedicated kids' area and the casual, daytime atmosphere suits families well. The seafood menu has plenty that works for non-adventurous eaters.

The bay setting gives children something to look at, and the restaurant is more relaxed than refined.

Are there other beach clubs near Alcanar?

Alcanar has just one beach club. For more options, Tarragona has nine beach clubs about an hour north, and La Ràpita is 10 minutes south along the coast. The southern Catalan coast is less developed for beach clubs than the Costa Daurada or Costa Brava.
