Granada province has 3 beach clubs in Granada worth knowing about. They sit along the Costa Tropical, a stretch of coastline roughly 70 kilometres south of the city. Prices are genuinely low by Spanish beach club standards, from around €10 per person at the budget end to €20-30 at the smarter spots.
This isn't Marbella or Ibiza. The Costa Tropical is quieter and more local, with a mix of pool club entertainment and chiringuito-style dining. Most clubs run full hours from June through September. Bambú and Papaya in La Herradura push into proper nightlife; Borocco in Salobreña is more about food, families, and sunsets.
The scene splits between two towns. La Herradura, a horseshoe bay near Almuñécar, has two clubs side by side on the Paseo Andrés Segovia. Salobreña, about 20 minutes east toward Motril, has Borocco on Playa de la Charca. If you want more options on the Andalusian coast, Málaga's beach clubs are about 90 minutes west.
The Granada provincial tourism board covers the broader Costa Tropical, including seasonal events and beaches beyond the club strip.

For food and sunsets, Borocco Beach Club in Salobreña has the stronger menu. For late nights and DJs, Papaya next door to Bambú is the pick.
How far are Granada's beach clubs from the city?
All three clubs are on the Costa Tropical, about 70 kilometres south of Granada. The drive takes around an hour on the A-44 motorway toward the coast. La Herradura and Almuñécar are the first stop; Salobreña is another 20 minutes east.
You'll need a car or taxi. There's no practical public transport link between Granada city and the clubs.
Bambú Club La Herradura

Bambú Club La Herradura sits on the Paseo Andrés Segovia promenade in La Herradura, part of Grupo Bambú alongside Papaya next door. It runs as a pool club by day and shifts into nightlife territory from the evening onward.
The setup covers a pool, sunbeds, reserved seating areas, a cocktail bar, and a full restaurant. Pool parties and live music are regular features through the summer. Natural wood and cane keep the design relaxed even when it gets busy.
Expect to pay €20-30 per person. The club opens at 4pm on weekdays and runs until 4am on weekends. Book a reserved area for groups visiting in July or August.
Walk-ins are fine on weekdays. Free parking is available nearby.

Papaya Beach Club

Cocktails are the main draw, backed up by beer, wine, and spirits. Food runs to burgers and hot dogs, with the kitchen open well past midnight when everywhere else in La Herradura has closed. DJs play Thursday through Sunday.
Prices run €10-20 per person, making it the most affordable spot on this coast. It opens Thursday to Sunday only, starting at noon on weekends and running until 4am on Fridays. Wheelchair-accessible entrance and reservations accepted.

Borocco Beach Club sits on Playa de la Charca in Salobreña, about 20 minutes east of La Herradura. It's the most food-focused of the three, with pizza, raciones, and small plates served from breakfast through dinner. The sea views and sunsets are what guests mention most.
The atmosphere is casual during the day, with a slightly trendier edge after dark. Families use it often, thanks to a kids' area on the sand and full wheelchair access. Dogs are welcome in the off-season, which is a rarity on this coast.
Reviews are polarised. Most guests praise the food and the price-to-quality ratio, and a complimentary snack with drinks is a nice touch. A meaningful minority have had poor experiences, so consistency isn't guaranteed.
Prices sit at €20-30 per person. It opens daily from 9am and is one of the only clubs on the Costa Tropical that stays open through winter.
Dinner reservations are recommended. Free parking on-site and on the street.
Salobreña is quieter than La Herradura's beachfront strip. If you're heading further east, Almería has several beach clubs another hour along the coast.
