Calp has two beach clubs in Calpe that are actually worth your time. Both sit on the Arenal-Bol coastline, below the Peñon de Ifach, the massive limestone rock that defines the town's silhouette.

The scene is low-key by Spanish coastal standards. These are small venues, not Ibiza-style megaclubs. You're here for sunbeds, cocktails, and a proper afternoon rather than a 2am finish.

Both clubs are seasonal and run from roughly April through October. Calpe is a quieter stretch of the Costa Blanca than Benidorm to the north, and the crowd reflects that.

The official Calpe tourism website covers beaches, local events, and accommodation if you're planning around your visit.

Looking for somewhere to stay in Calp? Here are our picks:

  • ★Best views of the Peñon de Ifach >> AR Roca Esmeralda & Spa Hotel
  • ★Right on Arenal-Bol beach >> Gran Hotel Sol y Mar Calpe
  • ★Boutique stay in town >> Hotel SunPlace Calpe
  • ★Budget pick near the beach clubs >> Apartments near Arenal-Bol Calpe

What is the best beach club in Calpe?

For a full day out, Havana's Beach Club Calpe is the stronger pick. It has a larger pool setup, live DJs, food from brunch through dinner, and free parking. For a quieter afternoon focused on cocktails and sea views, Beach Club SolyMar is the better fit. The SolyMar is more intimate and leans romantic rather than party-focused.

Both are solid options. Your choice comes down to energy level.

How much do beach clubs in Calpe cost?

Entry is free at both clubs. At Havana's, budget around €20-30 per person including drinks and food. At SolyMar, it's closer to €10-20, with a Hendrick's gin tonic running €14. Sunbed hire is extra at both venues.

Neither club is expensive by Costa Blanca standards, and you won't hit a minimum spend just to get in.

Havana's Beach Club Calpe

Pool terrace and sunbeds at Havana's Beach Club in Calpe

Havana's Beach Club Calpe is on Los Almendros, a short walk from the Arenal-Bol seafront. It's part restaurant, part pool club, part live music venue, with a crowd that mixes families, couples, and groups.

The pool is the centrepiece. Sunbeds line the deck, DJs play through the afternoon, and Sunday lunch brings in a loyal crowd every week. Sports screenings fill the bar on match days.

It's genuinely family-friendly: kids' menu, high chairs, and a children's area. Dogs are welcome on the terrace, and parking is free. Book ahead for weekend DJ sets or Sunday lunch in July and August.

Beach Club - SolyMar Hoteles

Cocktails and sea views at Beach Club SolyMar Hoteles on Arenal-Bol beach

Beach Club - SolyMar Hoteles operates from the Gran Hotel Sol y Mar, directly on the sand at Arenal-Bol. It's the more intimate of the two, with an infinity pool and a terrace facing open sea.

Cocktails are the main draw. The gin tonic selection gets the most mentions, with a Hendrick's at €14 and the local Aigua de València close behind. DJs run through the evening, with live music picking up later at night.

Prices sit at around €10-20 per person, making it the more affordable of the two. Capacity is limited, so book ahead on summer weekends. The club is fully wheelchair accessible and has a kids' area.

If you're exploring more of the Costa Blanca, Alicante and Benidorm both have active beach club scenes within an hour's drive. You can also browse the full Spain beach club directory for more options along the coast.

Frequently asked questions about Calpe beach clubs

Do you need to book beach clubs in Calpe in advance?

SolyMar has limited capacity and gets busy on summer weekends, so reservations are a good idea for July and August. Havana's also fills up for Sunday lunch events and weekend DJ sets in peak season. Outside those months, both clubs generally welcome walk-ins, but calling ahead never hurts.

Are Calpe beach clubs open all year?

No. Both clubs run from roughly April through October and close entirely over winter. Calpe has a year-round bar and restaurant scene along the Arenal-Bol front, but the pool clubs with DJs and sunbeds don't reopen until late spring, so check ahead before planning a winter visit.

Are beach clubs in Calpe family-friendly?

Yes, both clubs welcome families and are notably more family-oriented than most Spanish beach clubs. Havana's has a dedicated kids' area, a children's menu, and high chairs, and dogs are welcome outside. SolyMar also has a kids' area, and both venues are fully wheelchair accessible.
