There are two beach clubs in San Javier worth knowing. Both sit on the coast where the Mar Menor lagoon meets the open Mediterranean, giving you calm, shallow water on one side and proper sea waves on the other.
This isn't a party beach club strip. Both venues are fine dining destinations in their own right, and you'll spend more here than at a typical chiringuito.
Kinita leans romantic and family-friendly. Collados is the full-day experience, with a private pool, DJs, and a kitchen running two separate menus.
The two clubs sit about 20km apart on different sides of this coastline. Kinita is near Santiago de la Ribera on the Mar Menor shore. Collados sits at the southern tip of La Manga del Mar Menor, where the strip separating the lagoon from the sea is barely 100 metres wide.
For more options on the lagoon, Los Alcázares has three beach clubs a short drive north. The Region of Murcia tourism portal has details on local beaches, the caldero rice dish the coast is known for, and the San Javier Jazz Festival in July.

What is the best beach club in San Javier?
For food, Kinita Restaurant & Beach Club is the stronger pick. It's the most-reviewed venue in San Javier by a wide margin, with consistent praise for its tartare, octopus, and the local aristeus antennatus red prawn.
For a full beach day with a pool and DJs, Collados Beach at the southern tip of La Manga is the better fit. It has a private pool, live music through summer, and a dual Mediterranean-Japanese menu that's unusual for this part of Murcia.
How much do beach clubs in San Javier cost?
Both clubs are at the premium end of the Mar Menor coast. Expect to pay fine dining prices for food, with mains in line with a mid-to-upper-end restaurant anywhere in Spain. Some guests at Kinita note that portions don't always match the bill.
Collados is similarly priced and is one of La Manga's pricier options. Neither venue is a quick-drink stop. Come ready for a proper sit-down meal.
Kinita Restaurant & Beach Club

Kinita Restaurant & Beach Club sits on the Mar Menor shore near Santiago de la Ribera, off Camino al Camping Mar Menor. It's a fine dining beach club with premium sunbeds, rooftop seating, and wide lagoon views.
The kitchen runs on Mediterranean seafood. Tartare and octopus are the dishes people keep coming back for. The local red prawn, aristeus antennatus, is a regional speciality worth ordering if it's on the menu.
Cocktails, wine, and beer get consistent praise from regulars. The atmosphere is upscale but relaxed, with a chillout feel that works for romantic dinners and family lunches alike. Dogs are welcome outside on the terrace.
Open Tuesday to Sunday, 9am to 11pm, closed Mondays. Free parking on site and full wheelchair access. There's a kids' area with high chairs, a children's menu, and changing tables.
€€€ pricing. Reservations recommended for all meals.

Collados Beach

Collados Beach is at the southern tip of La Manga del Mar Menor, where the two seas almost touch. The building is a 1950s chalet shaped like a flying saucer, originally a minister's holiday home during the Franco years. That retro-futurist silhouette is still the first thing you notice.
The kitchen runs two separate menus. Mediterranean dishes cover local fish, rice, and grilled meats. A Japanese menu adds something genuinely unusual for this stretch of the Murcia coast, and Collados was ranked third in the Repsol Guide's best beach bars list.
A private pool sits steps from the beach, with sunbeds lining the shore. DJs play through the afternoon in summer, and live music and shows rotate through the season. It's also one of La Manga's main wedding venues, so the events operation is well practised.
€€€ pricing. Reservations recommended, especially on weekends and in July and August. Parking on site.

Do you need to book beach clubs in San Javier in advance?
Yes, reservations are recommended at both venues and essential at peak times. Kinita takes bookings for brunch, lunch, and dinner and fills quickly on weekends. Book at least a week ahead if you're visiting Collados Beach on a Saturday in July or August, when it runs at capacity for dining, events, and private functions.
Are San Javier beach clubs open all year?
Kinita is open Tuesday to Sunday, 9am to 11pm, all year round. Collados Beach runs its full programme through summer, with live music and events scaling back outside peak season. Both clubs are busiest from June to September, with July and August seeing the most demand for reservations.
Are San Javier beach clubs family-friendly?
Both clubs welcome families, though in different ways. Kinita has a dedicated kids' area, high chairs, a children's menu, and changing tables, and it's the more explicitly family-focused of the two. Collados Beach has a kids' area alongside the private pool, but it leans toward an upscale adult atmosphere, particularly in the evenings.
What is the Mar Menor and why does it matter for beach clubs?
The Mar Menor is Europe's largest saltwater lagoon, separated from the Mediterranean by La Manga, a narrow strip of land about 22km long. The lagoon side is calm, warm, and shallow, which is why Kinita's shoreside setting is so comfortable for families and swimmers. The Mediterranean side, where Collados sits, has proper waves, cooler water, and a different feel entirely.
