The beach clubs in Paros are really beach bars, and that tells you a lot about the island. There are 14 worth knowing, spread around the coves and long sandy bays of this Cycladic island. Most are built for lazy lunches and an afternoon on a sunbed, not big DJ parties.

This is the calm cousin of Mykonos. The food and setting lead, the crowd is more relaxed, and the spend is lower.

Expect about €30-50 per person for a sunbed and umbrella at the popular spots, and €50-80 for two front-row beds at the smart ones. Season runs May to September, sometimes into October, with July and August the busiest.

The scene splits across a few areas. Naoussa and the north coast hold the marquee names, Parikia bay has the easy boat-access spots, and Golden Beach on the southeast is the windsurf capital of Greece.

For the rest of the country's coast, see our guide to beach clubs in Greece. Santorini's black-sand clubs make a good pairing if you're island-hopping.

What is the best beach club in Paros?

For most people it's Monastiri Beach Club, set in a protected bay inside Paros Park with calm water and a proper lounge restaurant. For a smart lunch by the sea, RADA and Faragas Beach Club are the refined picks.

If you want energy over calm, Punda Coast is the island's party spot. For windsurfers, Golden Beach and Rebel Beach Bar are the obvious call.

Where is the best beach party in Paros?

Punda Coast on the southeast coast is the closest Paros gets to Mykonos. It's the biggest and oldest club on the island, built around a large pool with DJs, cabanas and themed events through the afternoon.

Beyond Punda, the scene stays low-key. Santa Maria Beach Club near Naoussa gets livelier with music in the afternoons, but most of the island leans toward quiet coves and long lunches.

Naoussa and the north coast hold the island's marquee clubs, from a protected-bay swim spot to its most refined beach dining.

Monastiri Beach Club

Loungers and calm bay swimming at Monastiri Beach Club, Paros Park near Naoussa

Monastiri Beach Club sits in a protected bay inside Paros Park, on the Ai Yiannis Detis peninsula backed by red rock. The calm, shallow water makes it one of the best spots on the island for swimming and paddleboarding.

There are brand-new sunbeds, two bars and a Mediterranean lounge restaurant run by chef Stamatis Marmarinos. Canoe and paddleboard rentals reach the quieter coves nearby.

Sunbeds run about €35 in the back row to €70 front row in high season, umbrella included. Book ahead in July and August. €€€ pricing.

Frequently asked questions about Paros beach clubs

How much do beach clubs in Paros cost?

Budget about €30-50 per person for a sunbed and umbrella at the popular clubs, usually with a food and drinks minimum. Two front-row beds at Faragas Beach Club or Crios Beach Bar & Restaurant run €50-80. Casual spots like Cactus Beach start nearer €20, so there's a wide range.

Do you need to book beach clubs in Paros in advance?

In July and August, yes, especially for Monastiri Beach Club, Faragas Beach Club and Punda Coast. Several beaches take online sunbed bookings through BeachDibs. Outside peak weeks you can usually walk up, though front-row beds still go early on weekends, so arrive before midday.

Which Paros beach has the best beach clubs?

Naoussa and the north coast hold the marquee names, with Monastiri Beach Club, Santa Maria Beach Club and RADA nearby. Golden Beach on the southeast is the windsurf hub, and Parikia bay has the easy, cheaper boat-access spots. Kolymbithres is the one for scenery among the granite rocks.

Are Paros beach clubs good for families?

Yes. The island's calm coves suit kids better than a party island would. Sal Y Mar Beach Lounge on Golden Beach has coffee and ice cream and shallow water, Cactus Beach at Logaras is easygoing and family-friendly, and Monastiri Beach Club has sheltered, shallow swimming inside Paros Park.

When are Paros beach clubs open?

The season runs roughly May to September, sometimes into October, with July and August the peak and the priciest. Most clubs open daily through summer for long lunches and afternoons on the sand. Outside those months, expect reduced service or closures, so check ahead in spring and autumn.

Is Paros a party island like Mykonos?

Not really. Paros is far more relaxed, built around lazy lunches, pretty coves and afternoons on a sunbed. Punda Coast is the main exception, with pools, DJs and a young crowd, and Santa Maria Beach Club gets livelier with music. Everywhere else leans quiet and low-key.
