Beach clubs in Naxos

Eleven relaxed beach bars along the west-coast sands, modest on price, with only Santana and Yazoo's full-moon nights tipping into party mode.

Beach clubs and coastline in Naxos, Greece

The beach clubs in Naxos run quieter than Mykonos or Santorini, and locals mostly call them beach bars. There are 11 worth knowing, spread across four west-coast beaches. Only Santana and Yazoo's full-moon nights really tip into party mode.

Prices stay modest for the Cyclades. A sunbed set runs about €20 to €30, usually with a food-and-drinks minimum rather than a flat fee, and several beaches keep the back rows free if you order. Season runs May to September, peaking in July and August.

The scene splits by beach. Plaka has the biggest cluster, Agios Prokopios has the veteran Kahlua, Agia Anna is the party corner, and Agios Georgios sits right by Naxos Town. For the rest of the country's coast, see our guide to beach clubs in Greece.

Looking for somewhere to stay in Naxos? Here are our picks:

  • ★5-star on the beach >> Naxos Island Hotel
  • ★Adults spa hotel >> 18 Grapes Hotel
  • ★Garden village near the sand >> Lianos Village
  • ★Hammam and sun deck >> Margaret Of Naxos Hotel
  • ★On Agios Georgios by town >> Nissaki Beach Hotel

Which Naxos beach has the best beach clubs?

Plaka has the most, a run of bars on the long southern sand where they almost merge into each other. Nomad, Tortuga, Peppermint Beach Club and Yazoo Summer Bliss sit here, most taking online sunbed reservations in peak season.

For fewer crowds and easy town access, Agios Georgios by Naxos Town has Naxaki Beach Lounge, and Agios Prokopios keeps the island's original, Kahlua Jungleroom. Paros, a short ferry away, has a similar low-key scene at its Golden Beach bars.

Does Naxos have a party beach club scene?

Not on the Mykonos scale, but two spots deliver. Santana Beach Club on Agia Anna is the island's main party bar, with guest DJs and live bands on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays through summer.

Over on Plaka, Yazoo Summer Bliss runs long-standing monthly full-moon parties with DJs and live music. Everywhere else stays relaxed, chilled by day and low-key after dark.

Kahlua Jungleroom

Wooden sunbeds and Caribbean-style umbrellas at Kahlua Jungleroom, Agios Prokopios Beach

Kahlua Jungleroom has run on Agios Prokopios since 1992, which makes it the original beach bar of Naxos. Wooden sunbeds with thick mattresses and Caribbean-style umbrellas spread across a Jungle Lounge and a Beach Lounge.

By day it's chilled. After dark the music picks up and the cocktails flow, pulling a mixed day-to-night crowd. The kitchen does burgers, salads, burritos and smoothies.

Front-row sets run about €30, cheaper toward the back and the west end. It's an easy walk from the Agios Prokopios hotels. €€€ pricing.

Santana Beach Club

Golden-sand sunbeds and a beach-party stage at Santana Beach Club, Agia Anna

Santana Beach Club sits on the golden sand of Agia Anna, the next beach along from Agios Prokopios. It's the closest Naxos gets to a Mykonos-style party club.

Sunbeds run €20 to €25 depending on the row, with a casual menu of pizza, pasta and mixed grills. Beach parties with guest DJs and the odd live band run on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays through summer.

The crowd skews young and energetic. Book a lounger for the party days in August. €€ pricing.

Nomad

Sunbeds under straw-fringed shades on the sand at Nomad, Plaka Beach

Plaka's long southern sand holds most of the island's beach bars, and Nomad is one of its marquee spots. Wood runs through the design, and the most sought-after sunbeds sit right in the sand under straw-fringed shades.

In 2025 the long-running Banana Beach Bar left Agia Anna and merged into Nomad here. It's atmospheric and relaxed rather than loud.

Sunbeds are reservable in high season, with a food-and-drinks minimum. €€€ pricing.

Tortuga

Canopied sunbeds at the water's edge at Tortuga, Plaka Beach

Tortuga sits in the middle of Plaka with a considered tribal-chic look, attached to the Naxian on the Beach suites. Sunbeds with canopies line the water's edge.

The kitchen is the reason to come, a fresh modern take on Mediterranean cooking that draws people back. It's design-led and barefoot, an easy all-day spot.

There's no compulsory spend except in the back rows, and prices sit below most Plaka clubs. Reservations taken in summer. €€ pricing.

Peppermint Beach Club

Cabanas and umbrella sets facing the Aegean at Peppermint Beach Club, Plaka

Peppermint Beach Club runs on Plaka near the Peppermint restaurant, with cabanas and umbrella sets facing the Aegean. It's the polished, calm end of the strip.

Beach snacks and cocktails carry the day. At night it turns to candlelit seaside dining with fresh fish, seafood and premium meats.

Open 9am to 1am, with online reservations and a food-and-drinks minimum on the sets. It suits couples and relaxed lounging. €€€ pricing.

Yazoo Summer Bliss

Sea-facing sunbeds and a full-moon party setup at Yazoo Summer Bliss, Plaka Beach

Yazoo Summer Bliss is a large sea-facing bar-restaurant on Plaka with sunbeds and full beach service. Creative Greek plates and handcrafted cocktails come to your lounger.

It's best known for its monthly full-moon parties, with guest DJs and live music. The crowd is youthful and the music runs late.

Open daily 9am to 1:30am, with sunbeds and tables bookable online. €€€ pricing.

Caya

Golden-sand sunbeds and an Italian beach kitchen at Caya, Plaka Beach

Caya is an Italian restaurant and cocktail bar on the Plaka sand, and one of the spots where you can reserve a sunbed. The kitchen leans into Italian cooking with Naxian ingredients.

Think cacio e pepe with Naxos pecorino, gnocchi from island sweet potatoes, and pizzas that run to local arseniko cheese and Naxian sausage. Cocktails carry it through to late.

It's open from mid-morning to 2am, tilted toward dining and sunset drinks. Book a sunbed or a table in peak weeks. €€ pricing.

Tohu Beach Bar

Well-spaced sunbeds and a laid-back bar at Tohu Beach Bar, Plaka Beach

Tohu Beach Bar is the calmest of the Plaka clubs, with comfy sunbeds spaced well apart. It's a low-key, cosy spot rather than a scene.

The kitchen runs all day, from breakfast and brunch to lunch and dinner, with iced coffees, cocktails, club sandwiches and Mediterranean dishes. There are vegetarian and vegan options too.

Sunbeds can be reserved in high season. €€ pricing.

Yucca Beach Bar

Rock-set bar tables under a juniper tree above the sea at Yucca Beach Bar, Plaka

Yucca Beach Bar sits on the rocks under a grand juniper tree above Plaka, not on the sand itself. It turns local products into high-gastronomy plates with Aegean views.

Cocktails and snacks are the draw, and it leans toward the dinner-and-drinks crowd. Sun loungers and umbrellas are rented on the sand across from the venue through to sunset.

It's the design-led, posh pick on this stretch. €€€ pricing.

Naxaki Beach Lounge

Premium wooden sunbeds a short walk from town at Naxaki Beach Lounge, Agios Georgios

Back by Naxos Town, Naxaki Beach Lounge sits on Agios Georgios beach a short walk from the port. Premium wooden sunbeds come with cushions, a shared umbrella and a fresh towel on arrival.

Waiter service brings Greek and Italian dishes built on local Naxian ingredients, plus signature cocktails. There's on-site massage if you want it.

Sunbeds book online with free cancellation up to 48 hours out, and a minimum consumption applies. It's the refined choice within walking distance of town. €€€ pricing.

Vammos Beach Bar

Casual sunbeds and sea views at Vammos Beach Bar, Agios Georgios

Vammos Beach Bar is a laid-back lounge cafe-bar right on Agios Georgios, tied to Studios Kalergis. Sunbeds face the Aegean with beachside service.

The kitchen does homemade snacks, meals and a good cold coffee. It's easy to reach on foot from town, and low-key with it.

This is the casual, walk-up end of the town beach. €€ pricing.

Frequently asked questions about Naxos beach clubs

How much do beach clubs in Naxos cost?

Sunbed sets run about €20 to €30, usually with a food-and-drinks minimum instead of a flat fee. Front-row beds cost more, around €30 at Kahlua Jungleroom, while Santana Beach Club is €20 to €25 by row. Several beaches keep the back rows free if you order.

Do you need to book sunbeds at Naxos beach clubs in advance?

In July and August, yes, for the Plaka clubs. Reserve sunbeds online at Nomad, Peppermint Beach Club, Yazoo Summer Bliss and Naxaki Beach Lounge, which all take bookings. Elsewhere you can usually walk up, though front rows fill fast on summer weekends.

What is the best beach club in Naxos?

It depends on your day. For the original all-day-into-night bar, Kahlua Jungleroom on Agios Prokopios has run since 1992. For a party, Santana Beach Club on Agia Anna is the island's main one. For food and design, Tortuga on Plaka is the pick.

Which Naxos beach club is best for families?

Agios Prokopios and Agia Anna have the calmest water and the most polished setup, so Kahlua Jungleroom and Santana Beach Club work well by day. Naxaki Beach Lounge on Agios Georgios is another easy option, a short walk from Naxos Town with waiter service.

When is beach club season in Naxos?

The season runs May to September, sometimes into October, peaking in July and August. That's when the Plaka clubs run full hours, take online reservations and host their party nights. Spring and autumn are quieter, with reduced service, so check ahead outside high summer.

Is there a full moon party in Naxos?

Yes. Yazoo Summer Bliss on Plaka runs long-standing monthly full-moon parties with guest DJs and live music. Santana Beach Club on Agia Anna adds regular beach parties on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays through summer, so there's usually a party night on somewhere. It's about the liveliest the island gets.
