The beach clubs in Lefkada go by a different name here. Locals call them beach bars, and they cost a fraction of what you'd pay in the Cyclades. There are 10 worth knowing, spread across the island's two coasts.

These are lounge-and-swim places, not big party clubs. Sunbed sets run about €5-20 across the island, with Kathisma the top end at €10-40. Season runs May to October, busiest in July and August.

The west coast holds the cosmopolitan beaches, with Kathisma the marquee strip and Pefkoulia and Gialos nearby. The east coast around Nidri is calmer and family-driven. For the wider country, see our guide to beach clubs in Greece, or the Ionian neighbour Corfu.

Where are the best beach clubs in Lefkada?

The biggest cluster is on Kathisma, a west-coast strip with more than ten bars on one beach. Copla Beach Bar, Areia Club Restaurant and Monato da Gusto are the design-led names, with pools, cocktails and sunset dining.

For a calmer, family day, head east to Nidri. Maraboo Beach and Sailinn Beach Club face the Ionian islets, and both run all day. The quiet southwest around Gialos has Medusa Beach Bar for an uncrowded stretch of sand.

How much do beach clubs in Lefkada cost?

Not much, by Greek-island standards. A sunbed set runs about €5-20 across most of the island, roughly half what the Cyclades charge. Many bars knock the charge off if you order food and drinks.

Kathisma sits at the top end. Standard sets there run €10-40, and front-line luxury beds at Areia Club Restaurant reach €50-70. In Nidri, Sailinn Beach Club works on a minimum spend, with the upfront sunbed charge coming off your bill.

There's a swimming pool and jacuzzi with wooden tables around the deck, plus sunbeds on the sand. Frozen coffees, cocktails and club sandwiches run through the day, with DJ sets.

It's open from morning to late. Standard sunbed sets run about €10-40, plus food and drink. €€€ pricing.
