The beach clubs in Jimbaran split into two scenes. The north end of the bay is flat sand and calm, reef-protected water, where the resort clubs sit. The south end trades the beach for limestone cliffs and dramatic ocean drops.
Six are worth knowing, and the price gap is huge. The budget end is a seafood plate and a sunbed on Muaya Beach for a few dollars. The luxury end is a Four Seasons daybed at about $155 or a minimum spend on the AYANA cliffs. The busy months are June to September and the December holidays.
Jimbaran sits on Bali's Bukit peninsula and faces west, which makes it a marquee sunset spot year round. For the rest of the island's coast, see our guide to beach clubs in Indonesia. The cliff clubs at Uluwatu and the sandy resort strip at Nusa Dua are both a short drive south.

What is the best beach club in Jimbaran?
For a full day on the sand, Sundara Beach Club at the Four Seasons is the pick, built around Bali's longest beachfront pool. For sunset drinks, nothing beats Rock Bar on the AYANA cliffs.
If you want the view without resort prices, Locca Sea House on the Tegal Wangi cliffs runs on daybed minimum spends and has an infinity pool. For a cheap seafood dinner on the sand, Jimbaran Beach Club on Muaya Beach is the value option.
Do Jimbaran beach clubs offer day passes?
Some do, some don't. Sundara sells daybeds and sundecks as a day pass, and you can also just walk in to eat with no minimum spend. Locca Sea House works on a daybed minimum spend rather than a fixed entry fee.
Rock Bar uses a minimum spend by seating area instead of a ticket. The one to watch is Kubu Beach Club at AYANA, which is open to in-house resort guests only, so there's no public day pass at all.
The north end of the bay is the flat, sandy stretch where the big resort clubs sit.
Sundara Beach Club

Sundara Beach Club is the Four Seasons club on the sand at the north end of Jimbaran Bay. It's the marquee name here, built around Bali's longest beachfront pool at 57 metres.
Days are calm and family-friendly, with a kids' club, oversized gazebos, towels and a restaurant that leans into Jimbaran's seafood-BBQ heritage. A resident DJ lifts the mood as the west-facing sunset comes in.
There's no entry fee to walk in and eat, but daybeds run IDR 2,500,000++ for two (about $155) with food and drink credit, and sundecks about IDR 2,000,000++ a couple. It's open 9am to 10pm. Book ahead in peak season.

Sunset Beach Bar & Grill

Sunset Beach Bar & Grill is the beachfront grill of the InterContinental Bali Resort, set among coconut palms on the white sand of the bay.
Recently revamped, it does grilled meats and fresh fish like mahi mahi and barramundi with signature cocktails. Live music runs Monday to Saturday and a DJ takes over on Sundays, so it's a sunset-and-dinner spot more than an all-day sunbed club.
There's no fixed entry, and it takes reservations and walk-ins, though hotel guests get priority. Cocktails run about $9 to $13. It's open 11am to 11pm daily except Nyepi.
Jimbaran Beach Club

Jimbaran Beach Club is the value pick, run by the Kupu Kupu hotel with the local fishing community on Muaya Beach, in the heart of the bay's grilled-fish strip.
It covers about 350 sqm with roughly 20 sunbeds and parasols, doing island-fresh seafood and Mediterranean-leaning plates with a full bar. It's relaxed and family-friendly, a Jimbaran sunset dinner without Four Seasons or AYANA prices.
Ordering off the menu starts around $9 a head. Sources disagree on whether there's a minimum spend, and the pool has reportedly been removed, so confirm both directly when you book.
Head to the south end of Jimbaran and the sand gives way to limestone cliffs, where three venues trade the beach for ocean drops.
Rock Bar

Rock Bar is Bali's best-known cliff bar, built on natural rock 14 metres above the Indian Ocean at AYANA and reached by a cliffside inclinator.
It's a drinks-and-tapas cocktail venue rather than a sunbed day club, with 880 seats across 22 areas and a DJ through the evening. The sunset slots and top areas go to AYANA hotel and villa guests first.
There's no fixed entry, but a minimum spend applies by seating area, roughly IDR 350k to 550k for standard seats and far higher for the premium rock decks. Cocktails run about $9 to $15. Reserve through TableCheck, note the smart dress code, and expect card or QR payment only.

Kubu Beach Club sits on a quiet white-sand cove tucked below the AYANA cliffs. Access is limited to in-house guests of AYANA Resort Bali, RIMBA by AYANA and The Villas at AYANA, so it isn't sold as a general day pass.
You reach it by a 197-step path cut through the rock or AYANA's 35-second inclinator. It has sun loungers, ocean-facing cabanas and daybeds, plus a kitchen doing dishes like snapper ceviche and charcoal-bun cheeseburgers alongside Balinese specialities.
It holds about 80 guests, so it stays calm even in peak season. Prices are premium and a la carte. It's only worth planning around if you're already staying at AYANA.
Locca Sea House

Locca Sea House is the clifftop club on the Tegal Wangi side of Jimbaran, opened in May 2023, with an infinity pool and sunset bar looking over the ocean toward the airport runway and Mount Agung.
It runs on daybed minimum spends rather than an entry fee, with daybeds seating up to six and a no-minimum theatre-style Terracering area. Piped music by day gives way to live DJs, foam parties, fire dances and Balinese shows. It's also the only Bali beach club where you can ride a horse by the cliffs.
Guides put the daybed minimum spend at roughly IDR 1,500,000 midweek to IDR 2,000,000 at weekends, about $92 to $123. It's the clifftop alternative to the sandy resort clubs down in the bay.
Frequently asked questions about Jimbaran beach clubs
What is the best beach club in Jimbaran?
It depends on what you want. Sundara at the Four Seasons is the best all-day beach club, with Bali's longest seaside pool and sunbeds on the sand. For iconic sunset drinks, Rock Bar on the AYANA cliffs is the one, and Locca Sea House is the clifftop pick with an infinity pool.
How much does a day at a Jimbaran beach club cost?
It swings widely. A seafood plate and a sunbed at Jimbaran Beach Club on Muaya Beach costs a few dollars. A daybed for two at Sundara runs about $155 with food and drink credit, while Locca Sea House asks a daybed minimum spend of roughly $92 to $123.
Do you need to book Jimbaran beach clubs in advance?
For the popular names, yes. Rock Bar and Sundara fill up fast for sunset, so reserve ahead, especially from June to September and over the December holidays. The budget seafood spots on Muaya Beach are more walk-up friendly, though a beachfront table still goes early at sunset.
Can you visit Rock Bar and Kubu Beach Club without staying at AYANA?
Rock Bar is open to non-guests, but you reserve through TableCheck and AYANA guests get priority for sunset slots and the best areas. Kubu Beach Club is different. It's open only to in-house guests of AYANA Resort, RIMBA and The Villas at AYANA, with no public day pass.
When is the best time to visit Jimbaran beach clubs?
Jimbaran faces west, so it's a sunset destination year round. The dry, busy season runs June to September, plus the December and January holidays. Arrive an hour or two before sunset for the best light, and book a sea-facing spot ahead at Rock Bar, Sundara and Locca Sea House.
