For polish, BASK Beach Club on Gili Meno is the pick, built around a 35m infinity pool with cabanas and in-house DJs. For a livelier sunset with a pool and a fire show, Malibu Beach Club on Gili Trawangan is the one. If you want boho and barefoot, La Cala Beach Club on Turtle Beach is hard to beat.
Which Gili island is best for beach clubs?

The menu runs Western, Asian and Mediterranean, and the crowd is a mix of travellers and day-trippers. Cocktails flow through the golden hour, roughly 5 to 7pm, when the west coast fills up.

La Cala Beach Club
La Cala Beach Club is a bohemian beachfront lounge on Gili Trawangan's Turtle Beach. You can dine with your feet in the sand or stretch out on sunbeds facing the water.
The kitchen runs a grill with skewers, burgers and salads, and there are vegetarian and vegan options. It's open daily from 8.30am to 11pm, so it works for breakfast through to late drinks.
There's no entry fee, just à la carte food and drink. Free wifi throughout, and bookings go through WhatsApp. Reserve at peak times if you want a sunbed.
Cocana Sunset Club
Cocana Sunset Club is the beachfront day club at Cocana Resorts, on Gili Trawangan's sunset coast. Daybeds sit right on the sand, with cocktails and coastal cooking.
Its Sunset Barbecue runs Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 6pm, with premium cuts and island grills. The rest of the week it's à la carte, open daily 11am to 10pm.
There's no fixed entry, you just reserve a daybed and order food and drink. Booking is recommended for the daybeds, especially on barbecue nights.
PinkCoco Gili Trawangan
PinkCoco Gili Trawangan is an adults-only design hotel on the west coast, and its beach club opens onto what it calls the island's largest lap pool. Everything is pink, and it draws a chic, over-18 crowd.
Guests and visitors lounge on pink bean bags and sun loungers for the sunset. There's a bar and a fresh, healthy-leaning menu.
You need to be 18 or over. A minimum spend can apply for non-guests using the loungers, so check when you book. This is the upper mid-range end of the Gili T scene.
Pearl Beach Lounge
Pearl Beach Lounge is a white-sand lounge and restaurant on Gili Trawangan, with views across the water to Lombok's Mount Rinjani. Sunbeds are set out on the sand.
The menu covers tapas, cocktails, ice cream and full dinners, and it keeps long hours, roughly 7am to 11pm. Its own website was down at the time of writing, so confirm current details before you go.

BASK Beach Club
BASK Beach Club is the beach club at the BASK resort on Gili Meno, built around a 35m infinity pool that runs straight to the sand. It's the most polished club on the islands.
Seating spans standard and king daybeds, cabanas for up to nine, and U- and L-shaped VIP lounges. In-house DJs play sunset sessions, and there's a restaurant plus an underground cocktail bar called Rosalee.
There's no fixed entry, you reserve a daybed, cabana or lounge and order à la carte. Spaces book online, and this sits at the premium end for the Gilis.

Le Pirate Beach Club Gili Meno is a relaxed beachfront hotel and club on the same quiet island, facing the sunset along a coral-fringed white beach. It's barefoot and easygoing, the opposite of a polished day club.
There are three swimming pools, sun loungers, a beach bar and a pool-view restaurant open 7.30am to 10pm. A daily happy hour runs 4.30 to 6.30pm, and snorkelling, diving and fishing trips leave from here.
It's mid-range, à la carte food and drink with no entry fee. Good for a slow day between the water and the pool.
Gili Air, the third island, is laid-back and boho, with a small cluster of pool-and-bar venues.
SANDS Beach Club Gili Air
SANDS Beach Club Gili Air sits on the beach on Gili Air, with a swimming pool, beach access and loungers. It leans as much toward food as lounging.
The kitchen runs a wood-fired grill and what it calls the island's first full-scale bakery, plus a wine cellar. It's open daily 7.30am to 10.30pm, from breakfast through to sunset dinners.
No entry fee, just an all-day à la carte menu. Prices are mid-range, modest by Bali standards.
Mowie's Gili Air
Mowie's Gili Air is a boho beachfront spot on Gili Air's west coast, running since 2014. There are a few bungalows, an open-air kitchen and a saltwater lagoon pool.
Bean bags stretch down the sand to the sea, and the beach bar is a well-known sunset perch looking toward Lombok, Gili Meno and Gili Trawangan. It's mid-range, à la carte, with no entry fee. Booking is worth it for sunset.
