The beach clubs in Antibes split across two very different stretches of coast. There are 14 worth knowing, from the marquee plages privees on the Cap d'Antibes peninsula to the long row of hotel and stand-alone beaches along the Juan-les-Pins seafront.
Locals call them plages privees, private beaches with rented sunbeds, a bar and usually a restaurant on the sand. Prices sit below Cannes and Saint-Tropez. A sunbed runs about €30-50 at most clubs, climbing to around €200 a head with lunch at the five-star Cap d'Antibes Beach Hotel. Season runs April to October, with several beaches open March to November.
The showpiece sand is on La Garoupe, the fashionable bay on the Cap d'Antibes peninsula. Juan-les-Pins packs the biggest cluster along Boulevard Baudoin and Boulevard Guillaumont, and Royal Beach sits closest to the old town. Can you use Antibes beach clubs without staying at the hotel?
Yes. Almost every plage privee here is open to non-guests, including the hotel beaches. You rent a sunbed for the day and can eat at the restaurant whether or not you're staying.
That goes for the five-star Cap d'Antibes Beach Hotel, the art deco La Plage Belles Rives and Royal Beach at the Royal Antibes. Book a lounger ahead in July and August, when the front rows sell out.
Cap d'Antibes or Juan-les-Pins for a beach day?
Cap d'Antibes is the quieter, more upmarket choice. La Garoupe has soft sand, calm water and the peninsula's marquee names, Plage Keller and the Cap d'Antibes Beach Hotel.
Juan-les-Pins is livelier and easier, with a dozen beaches within walking distance of the train station, bars and nightlife. It's the better base if you want music, dinner on the sand and a shorter walk. Villa Djunah Beach and CHACHA La Plage run into the evening.
Cap d'Antibes Beach Hotel
Cap d'Antibes Beach Hotel runs the private beach of the five-star hotel of the same name, on the water near the Baie de la Garoupe. It's open to non-guests, and the pastel pink loungers have earned it the nickname the Barbie beach.
The beach restaurant Baba does Levantine cooking with chef Assaf Granit, and the hotel also holds the Michelin-starred Les Pecheurs. This is the polished, top-tier end of the Antibes scene.
Reckon on about €200 a head in peak season with a sunbed and lunch. Book ahead, and treat it as a special-occasion day rather than a casual drop-in.
Plage Keller
Plage Keller has been a Garoupe institution since 1931, with its restaurant Le Cesar, soft sand, a pontoon and views across to the Alps. It's the classic Riviera name on the peninsula.
One catch: it's closed for the 2026 season while La Garoupe is renovated, and it's due to reopen in spring 2027. For 2026 the team runs a temporary spot at Palm Beach in Cannes called La Piscine Keller.
When it's open, sunbeds run about €42-48. If you're set on La Garoupe in 2026, La Joliette a few steps along the same beach is the alternative.
La Joliette
La Joliette is a family-friendly private beach on La Garoupe, set in a quiet corner of the cap's most fashionable stretch of sand. It's the relaxed alternative to Keller, a few steps along the same beach.
You'll find rentable mattresses and beds, a bar for drinks and a lifeguard on duty. It leans calm and low-key rather than scene-y.

Over on the Juan-les-Pins seafront, the beaches line up one after another along Boulevard Baudoin and Boulevard Guillaumont, most within a short walk of each other.
La Plage Belles Rives
La Plage Belles Rives is the private beach of the art deco Hotel Belles Rives, once F. Scott Fitzgerald's villa and the birthplace of waterskiing. It's the glamorous, old-money name in Juan-les-Pins.
White sand, a private pontoon, a lounge bar and a seafront restaurant under chef Aurelien Vequaud. From June to the end of August, a Thursday DJ night turns it into a party under the stars.

Plage Les Pirates
Plage Les Pirates is one of the largest beach clubs in the area, about 2,000 square metres of white sand next to the Pinede Gould in the heart of Juan-les-Pins. It's the pick for a big family beach day.
Cabins, long rows of loungers and a large restaurant that leans Italian. There's plenty of room, so it rarely feels cramped even in August.

Villa Djunah Beach
Villa Djunah Beach is a private beach on the Bay of Juan-les-Pins by day, with sunbeds and seaside lunches in a relaxed mood. It's built for a beach day that rolls into a party.
At night the garden becomes a festive restaurant and club, with cocktails and DJ sets running to 2am on Friday and Saturday. Come for the day, stay for the evening.

CHACHA La Plage
CHACHA La Plage sits on the Juan-les-Pins seafront under terracotta umbrellas, with mattresses on the sand and Mediterranean cooking that pulls in Italian and Greek notes. It's the music-led beach on the front.
Programming runs to live bands, singers and DJs, so it works as much for an evening out as a beach day. It's open daily from 10am to midnight.

YOLO Plage faces Cap d'Antibes and the Lerins Islands from the Juan-les-Pins front, on the site of the former Voile Blanche. It combines a beach club, a restaurant and a lounge bar.
The Mediterranean menu is built on the market, and the setting suits a slow sunset dinner. Open daily April to October, with dinner every evening June to September.

Helios Plage
Helios Plage is the private beach of the four-star Hotel Helios, in the heart of Juan-les-Pins. Wooden sunbeds sit on the fine sand and on a pier that reaches over clear water.
A private pontoon makes arriving by tender easy, and the restaurant serves on the sand through the season. It's chic without being stiff.

Esterel Plage
Esterel Plage is a private beach, bar and restaurant on the Juan-les-Pins coast, facing Cap d'Antibes. Tables sit about two metres from the water, feet in the sand.
The kitchen runs Provencal and Mediterranean plates off fresh produce. It's a straightforward, easygoing spot for a lunch on the sand.

Plage de la Jetee
Plage de la Jetee has been a Juan-les-Pins landmark since 1956, with loungers on the sand and on a pier, and a Mediterranean restaurant using fresh regional produce.
One note: the venue says it's under restructuring, so check its status before planning a visit. When it's running, it's one of the more established names on the front.

La Plage Garden Beach
La Plage Garden Beach is the private beach of the Garden Beach Hotel, in the heart of Juan-les-Pins, with direct access to the sand and a pier for water activities.
The beach-side restaurant and rental loungers are open to non-guests. Views run across to Cap d'Antibes and the Bay of Cannes.

Cap Canailles
Cap Canailles is a relaxed, boho private beach between Juan-les-Pins and Golfe-Juan, with fine sand and a lifeguard on duty. It's the calmer, better-value option.
Open daily 10am to 6pm, and available for private events like weddings and birthdays. Less polish than the marquee hotel beaches, and cheaper for it.

Back toward Antibes old town, one beach sits within a short walk of the ramparts.
Royal Beach
Royal Beach is the private beach of the four-star Royal Antibes hotel on Plage du Ponteil, a five-minute walk from the old town. It's the most central of the lot.
It spreads 170 loungers across the sand and a private dock, with water sports off the pontoon: waterski, wakeboard, banana and jetski. Good for an active beach day close to town.
Sunbeds run €30 on the beach and €40 on the pier. Handy if you're staying in Antibes itself and don't want to travel. €€ pricing.
