Beach clubs in Jumeirah

The beach clubs in Jumeirah cover two very different scenes along Dubai's original coastline. There's J1 Beach, a 500-metre strip of design-led clubs that opened from late 2024, and the older resort clubs clustered around Madinat Jumeirah. Eleven are worth knowing.

Most J1 venues run a redeemable day pass. You pay for a sunbed, roughly AED 200 to 400 for beach loungers and AED 400 to 600 by the pool, then spend most of it back on food and drink. The resort clubs charge more, from about AED 350 to 700, and usually throw in lunch or a credit. Peak season is the cooler months, October to April.

What is J1 Beach and how do the day passes work?

J1 Beach is a 500-metre beachfront in Jumeirah 1, developed by Merex Investment, with more than a dozen licensed beach clubs and restaurants. It opened progressively from late 2024.

Most clubs use a redeemable day pass. You book a sunbed or cabana, pay a minimum spend, then use that credit on food and drinks. Weekday sunbeds start around AED 200, and pool loungers run higher. Kaimana Beach even gives away weekday sunbeds and only charges AED 300, fully redeemable, at weekends.

Which is the best beach club in Jumeirah?

It depends on the day you want. Sirene Beach by Gaia took favourite beach club at the 2025 Fact Spa and Wellness Awards and is the biggest, so it's the pick for a buzzy Greek beach day.

For Burj Al Arab views with lunch included, the Jumeirah Beach Hotel Daycation or Summersalt are stronger. Families tend to head for Gigi Rigolatto and its kids' club.

Sirene Beach by Gaia

Sirene Beach by Gaia is the flagship of J1 Beach and the reason a lot of people come. It opened in December 2024 from the team behind Gaia, and at around 9,000 sqm it's billed as the world's largest beach club.

There's a huge pool, roughly 300 sunbeds and premium cabanas, with Greek-Mediterranean food from chef Izu Ani. A DJ keeps it moving from lunch into the evening. The crowd is dressy and here to be seen.

Expect premium pricing, with redeemable sunbed and cabana minimums that put a day here at about $80 to $200 or more. Book ahead, especially at weekends.

Bâoli Dubai

Bâoli Dubai takes the jungle-themed party format from Cannes and Miami and drops it on J1 Beach. The look is dense and green, the menu East Asian meets Mediterranean.

There's a pool with private cabanas, beach sunbeds, and a Sunset Lounge that starts around 4pm with live DJs. It leans more party than most of its neighbours once the sun drops.

A beach sunbed is AED 250, pool loungers AED 500 to 600, all redeemable, so figure roughly $68 to $163 before you spend. Ladies get complimentary access Monday to Thursday.

Gitano Dubai

Gitano Dubai is the fifth outpost of the Tulum-born original, and it brings the boho look with it. Think modern Mexican food and mezcal cocktails under a relaxed, sun-bleached setup.

Beach sunbeds and cabanas sit alongside an adults-only pool for over-21s, so it stays calmer than the family spots. Las Gitanas ladies' day runs Tuesdays from 11am to 4pm.

It's open daily 11am to 7pm. Beach sunbeds run AED 350 to 400 and the pool AED 400 to 500, redeemable, so about $95 to $136.

Gigi Rigolatto

Gigi Rigolatto is the Amalfi Coast-styled Italian on J1, with a beach and pool club branded La Baia. It's polished and, unusually for the strip, properly set up for families.

The Gigi Circus kids' club keeps children busy while parents settle in near the Bellini Bar. Food is Italian, the mood more long-lunch than late-night.

Open daily 10am to 7pm. A pool pass is AED 400 with AED 200 redeemable, and a beach pass AED 300 with AED 150 back, so roughly $82 to $109. Book at weekends.

Kaimana Beach

Kaimana Beach mixes Asian and Polynesian flavours with a lagoon-style pool, bamboo wakas and a party-leaning crowd. The menu comes from award-winning chef Michael Collantes.

It's the value pick on J1. Sunbeds are free on weekdays and AED 300, fully redeemable, at weekends, so about $82 when you do pay.

Recurring nights include Golden Thursdays and Waka Pool Sundays, and it stays open late, 10am to 1am daily. Come for the DJ sets and pool parties, not a quiet lunch.

African Queen

African Queen is one of the more relaxed corners of J1, a French-Mediterranean Riviera spot known for wood-fired pizzas and seafood.

It opens at 10am daily and runs Margarita Nights on Tuesdays. The pace is slower here, more poolside lounging than pool party.

It works on the same redeemable day-pass model as the rest of the strip, with passes reported from around AED 250. Prices and exact terms are worth confirming when you book.

Ninive Beach

Ninive Beach leans into a Middle Eastern and North African heritage look, with a turquoise-tiled pool and Moroccan-styled cabanas. It's more restaurant than club, but the pool and beach lounging are there.

The kitchen runs Lebanese, Iraqi, Turkish and Moroccan dishes across rooftop and poolside dining. It opens at 10am daily.

Access is through a redeemable day pass. As with the newer J1 venues, check current sunbed rates and minimum spend when you reserve.

Chouchou

Chouchou is Dubai's first French beach house members' club, on the sand at J1 Beach from With Love Hospitality. The look is Cote d'Azur, laid-back and low-key luxury.

The catch is access. The beach, pool, cabanas and first floor are members-only, while the ground-floor Le Restaurant is open to residents and visitors.

Membership starts around AED 15,500 a year, and members' guests pay a day-pass fee from about AED 250. If you're not a member or a member's guest, you can still book a table downstairs.

The last three sit a few kilometres south in Umm Suqeim, around Madinat Jumeirah. These are hotel-run beach clubs, pricier than J1 but with private beaches and clear Burj Al Arab views.

Summersalt Beach Club

Summersalt Beach Club sits at Jumeirah Al Naseem in Madinat Jumeirah and has been open since 2022. It faces the Burj Al Arab across a private beach, with a roughly 10 by 30-metre pool behind.

The beachside restaurant, Summersalt by Kayto, runs a Latin menu with Peruvian and Japanese leanings. The mood is polished and daytime-relaxed rather than party.

Non-guests buy a day pass at AED 595, about $162, which includes AED 250 of credit and runs 9am to 6pm. Children under 4 enter free.

Jumeirah Beach Hotel Daycation

The Jumeirah Beach Hotel Daycation is the full-service option, a resort beach day open to non-guests. You get private-beach and pool access with the Burj Al Arab in view.

It's built for a proper day out. The pass includes a three-course lunch and three hours of selected free-flowing drinks, and there's plenty for kids.

A sunbed is AED 600 on weekdays and AED 700 at weekends, roughly $163 to $190. That's a lot, but it covers most of your day once lunch and drinks are in.

Madinat Jumeirah Beach

Madinat Jumeirah Beach gives you the sprawling Madinat resort, entered through Mina A'Salam, on a day pass. Private beach, multiple pools, Burj Al Arab views, the lot.

It's the most family-friendly of the resort clubs, with kids' areas and water sports. Cabanas and tents are available for an extra fee.

Adult passes are AED 350 on weekdays and AED 450 at weekends, around $95 to $123, with children 4 to 11 at AED 180 and under-3s free.
