Beach Club Gran Folies sits in a rocky cove just outside Port d'Andratx on Mallorca's southwest coast. It's built into the cliffs above a small bay, with direct water access and water clear enough for snorkeling.
The pool is the main draw. Hammocks and deck chairs line the terraces around it, and parasols keep things shaded. You can reach the club by boat if you call ahead. The rocky cove setting means there's no sandy beach, but the scenery makes up for it.
Prices are at the $$$ level, which is on the higher side. Reservations are accepted and worth making in peak season. Free parking is available nearby, but finding a space is usually tricky.
Rated 4.2 from 2,284 reviews. Around 60% of guests give it five stars, and 79% rate it four or above. A handful of lower reviews flag the restrooms as not matching the price point.
The venue is currently marked as temporarily closed. Check their website before visiting.
The kitchen runs Mediterranean, with lunch and dinner service covering seafood, salads and vegetarian options. A salad bar handles lighter bites, and dessert is on the menu too. Late-night food means there's no rush to leave.
Cocktails are well represented at the bar, alongside wine, beer and coffee. One guest who arrived by boat described the food as "great" and the experience as well worth the trip.
It sits at the $$$ level, which puts it among the pricier options in the area. The clifftop location and pool set-up justify the positioning, but budget accordingly. Booking ahead is the smart move in summer.
Yes, reservations are accepted. Check their website at beachclubgranfolies.com to book. If you're arriving by boat, one reviewer noted that a single phone call arranged a water pickup.
Yes. High chairs and a kids' menu are available. The pool and sunbed terraces work well for families, though the rocky cove means it's not a traditional sandy beach experience.
There's a free parking lot and free street parking nearby, but reviewers consistently note that spaces are hard to find. Arriving by boat is a genuine alternative if you have access to one.

The restrooms are worse than those at a train station. Dirty and stinky. I don't want to know what the kitchen looks like. I'm shocked that, at these prices, guests don't mind. The positive thing is that the restaurant has a beautiful view.
A fantastic beach club in a beautiful bay. We arrived by boat; one phone call was all it took to arrange a pickup. The food was great, the location fantastic – there was absolutely nothing to complain about. We'd love to come back! 💓👍🏽🥰
