Oli-ba-ba has been on Playa de Oliva since 1984, making it one of the longest-running chiringuitos on the Oliva coast. Two Moai statues mark the entrance, and the Easter Island theme runs through the whole place.
The setup is classic beachfront. Sunbeds and umbrellas line the sand, with a shaded restaurant area behind. Arrive before midday in peak season if you want a good spot.
The kitchen serves Mediterranean food and pizza with continuous service from morning to late. Cocktails are the other draw. Prices sit at €€, reasonable for a beachfront venue with table service.
Live music has run here since 1985. The programming covers soul, R&B, reggae, jazz and funk through the summer months. Reservations are available if you want to guarantee a table.
Rated 4/5 from 153 Google reviews. Most guests praise the setting and friendly staff. Value for money gets more mixed feedback, but the location on one of Valencia's least developed stretches of coastline is hard to argue with.
