Único Beach Club sits right on the beachfront in La Cala de Mijas, on one of the quieter stretches of Mijas Costa's coastline between Fuengirola and Marbella. It's part restaurant, part pool club, with 21 king-size daybeds around the swimming pool and a cocktail bar on the upper terrace.
The layout works well for a full day. Pool and sunbeds on the main level, restaurant above with direct Mediterranean views. The vibe leans upscale casual, closer to Marbella than a typical chiringuito.
The kitchen does Mediterranean cooking with some international touches. Poke bowls and fresh seafood at lunch, something more polished at dinner. Prices sit at €€ for the area, which is fair for a beachfront pool club on this coast.
Service gets mixed reports. Staff are friendly when it's not slammed, but peak summer weekends can slow things down. Book ahead from June through September. The venue opens at 11am and runs until midnight, one of the few spots in La Cala that covers poolside lunch through evening drinks.
Rated 4.4 from 961 Google reviews. You'll find it on Calle Reina Fabiola, a short walk from the main La Cala boardwalk.
