Relax Beach Club is on the beach in Maspalomas, inside Hotel San Agustín Beach Club on Gran Canaria's southern coast. It's a casual open-air restaurant and bar with sunbeds and umbrellas right on the sand.
The vibe is quiet and relaxed for most of the week. Families, tourists, and solo diners all turn up here. Thursday nights are the exception. Live rock music draws a regular crowd and has built up a real following over time. A staff member named Alexia is called out by name in multiple reviews for her friendly service.
Prices run €10-20, which is low for a beachfront venue in the south of the island. Reservations are accepted and recommended for brunch. Open every day from 10am to 11pm.
Rated 4.4 from 1,359 Google reviews, with the vast majority being five-star. Very few bad ratings.
The menu is more interesting than typical beach bar food. Pad thai is what people talk about most, and the homemade burgers are a close second. Queso frito is another favourite. Vegetarian, vegan, and healthy options run throughout the menu, alongside small plates and quick bites.
Cocktails are the main draw on the drinks side. The beer selection and wine list are both well-regarded by regulars. Coffee and desserts hold up too. The kitchen covers breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner daily, with table service throughout.
