LaCala Beach Club is part of the Macenas Mediterranean Resort on Almería's coast, halfway between Mojácar and Carboneras. It's a restaurant, pool bar and beach club rolled into one, with sea views from pretty much every table.

The infinity pool is the centrepiece. Hammocks ring the terrace, and the whole setup faces the water. The crowd is mostly resort residents and families, though day visitors are welcome too. Dogs are allowed inside and out.
Dinner is the main event. The cachopo is the signature dish and comes up in reviews constantly. Expect to pay €20-40 per person for a full meal.
It operates seasonally, so check ahead before making the trip. Free parking with plenty of space, and reservations are accepted.

Food & Drinks at LaCala Beach Club
The kitchen covers breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner and dessert. Cachopo is the order most people talk about. The Michelangelo also gets mentions. You can eat à la carte on the terrace or inside.
Cocktails, wine and beer are all on the list. Coffee is solid too, which makes sense given the place doubles as an espresso bar. Table service is standard throughout.
