Casa Jondal sits directly on the sand at Cala Jondal, one of the most popular bays on Ibiza's south coast. Tall pines and rocky cliffs frame the beach on both sides. Simple wooden tables and cream canvas sails overhead keep the feel relaxed, even though the food is anything but casual.
Chef Rafa Zafra, formerly of El Bulli, runs the kitchen. His menu leans hard into seafood and Mediterranean cooking with minimal preparation. Think oysters, red prawn carpaccio, langoustine al ajillo, and whole grilled fish. There's also Iberian pork tenderloin and suckling lamb for those who skip the fish.
Lunch is the only service. Doors open at 1pm and close by 5:30pm, seven days a week. That narrow window means reservations are essential, especially from June through September. Book via WhatsApp or email well in advance.
Expect to spend €100+ per person. It's not a place for a quick bite. You come here to settle in for a long afternoon with good wine and better food. The reputation draws a well-heeled crowd, including plenty of yacht visitors from Cala Jondal's popular anchorage.
Rated 4.2 from 839 Google reviews. Most guests praise the food and location, though some flag the prices as steep even by Ibiza standards.
No DJ booth, no thumping bass. The place keeps the volume down and lets the food do the talking. Parking is available on site, which is a bonus for this stretch of coast.
