Beach Club Faro sits right on the port in Mogán, on the southwest coast of Gran Canaria. The address on the Explanada del Castillete puts you facing the harbour and open ocean, with clear sightlines west.
The main draw is the sunset. The portside position delivers an unobstructed view as the sun drops, and the venue leans into it with live music and DJ sets most evenings. The atmosphere is casual and relaxed, popular with families and groups of tourists.
Prices are mid-range (€€). It's open daily from 10:30am to 10pm, and reservations are accepted. Worth booking ahead if you're planning a sunset dinner, particularly in peak season.
Rated 3.9 from 562 reviews. Most guests are happy, but there's a meaningful share of lower ratings. The views and attentive, friendly service come up repeatedly in positive reviews. A few guests flag the bathrooms as not matching the overall experience.
Cocktails are the headline act here, and the wine list is well regarded too. Coffee is worth ordering. For food, paella is what most people go for, and canarian potatoes are a reliable local order alongside it.
The kitchen covers everything from breakfast and brunch through to late-night plates, so it works at any point in the day. There are small plates and healthy options if you don't want a full sit-down meal, plus a kids' menu for families.
Prices sit in the mid-range bracket (€€). It's not a budget stop, but it's not a premium venue either. Reservations are accepted if you want to lock in a table.

This was our first time at this restaurant. We had been looking across the bay thinking of going and finally we did. It took 30 minutes to walk from our apartment across the bay. Quite a trek. The view from the restaurant is magnificent and we watched the sun go down. Our service was exceptional because it was friendly, humorous, and attentive. Our food was hot, tasty, and fresh. My minor criticisms, and the reason I nearly gave 4 stars were these; - The tempura vegetables starter was huge, could have been half as much, was bland, and would have benefited from a sauce. - The sirloin steak we ordered was requested as a medium but was rare. Though, tasty. - The Canaria tapas was huge. Maybe this could have been advertised as for two people. - As we dined a female sat near us on her own in a tracksuit and slippers, and also wandered around the restaurant. If this is the owner/maitre’d, then to be in the same uniform would be less conspicuous and adding a more positive element to the dining experience. It felt odd. - As we left, we went to the bathrooms and they were like public toilets and let down the experience. Plus, the kitchen and storage was on show. A simple screen would have helped to hide this away.
It was closed and not anywhere close to closing time. Looked like building work
