Mediterraneo Beach Club sits right on the Paseo Marítimo in Canet d'en Berenguer, a quiet stretch of Valencia's coast about 30 minutes north of the city. It's run by the same team behind Restaurante El Sarao across the road, and the food connection shows.
The setup is casual and spacious. A terrace faces the sea, and there's a pool if you don't fancy the beach. Groups and families make up most of the crowd, and the whole venue is wheelchair accessible with adapted parking, entrances and seating.
Paella is the star here. Tapas, small plates and cocktails round out the menu, and the coffee gets a shout too. Expect to spend around €30-40 per person.
It only opens on weekends. Saturday runs 10am to 1am, Sunday 10am to 3am. Dinner reservations are recommended, and there's free parking on site and on the street.
Rated 4.0 from 393 Google reviews. Most guests give it five stars, though service speed is the recurring gripe when it gets busy. The food and the setting more than make up for it according to the majority.
Paella is what people come for. It shares a kitchen pedigree with El Sarao next door, and reviewers regularly call it spectacular. Tapas and small plates work well if you want something lighter, and you can do breakfast, lunch or dinner here.
On the drinks side, cocktails, wine and beer are all available. The coffee is a highlight too, which isn't always a given at beach clubs. Prices are reasonable for a beach club at €30-40 per person, putting it firmly in budget-friendly territory.
Prices run around €30-40 per person. That's on the affordable end for a beach club with a pool and full restaurant service. Card payments and NFC mobile payments are both accepted.
Yes, and they're recommended for dinner. You can book ahead, which is worth doing on busy summer weekends when the terrace fills up fast.
It is. There's a kids' area, high chairs and a children's menu. The pool and beach access give families plenty to do while waiting for food.
Parking is easy here. There's a free parking lot on site, free street parking nearby, and a paid lot as a backup. Reviewers say there's usually plenty of space.
The club is weekend-only. Saturday opens at 10am and runs until 1am. Sunday opens at 10am and closes at 3am. It's closed Monday through Friday.

The problem is they don't have many waiters and the service is slow. At least it was last year. Let's hope they hire more this year because the place and the food are very good.
We went there for lunch because the restaurant El Sarao, which is across the street and makes fantastic paellas, now has it, but since it was full, they seated us there. It was wonderful; there was a lovely sea breeze, and of course, the paella was spectacular, as always.
